Dear Mom, Thanks for doing my laundry!

Dear Mom,

As I am sitting here scrubbing an ink stain on my daughter’s pants, I am thinking, I never knew how much you did for me. I didn’t know the time you spent to pick out, clean, iron (when needed), and put away all the beautiful clothes that were hanging in my closet. I never understood how hard you worked for me. Now, I am a mom of 2 beautiful children and I spend countless hours buying them things, doing their laundry, scrubbing the stains in their clothing out… It never ends really. I ALWAYS have laundry.

So, as I stand here pondering how much of my life is spent on just their clothing, I realize I have an AMAZING mom. I am sorry if I didn’t show you enough appreciation for all you did for me all those years that I lived under your roof with my mounds of stinky gym clothes and stained church clothes. I now know the pain staking amount of energy you put into just keeping me clothed! I am so thankful for all the things you did for me growing up and do for me now, but tonight I am thankful to you for doing my laundry. I am also so thankful you taught me how to do my own laundry, so I can take care of my family now.

There I said it, thanks for doing my laundry, mom!!! It only took me 31 years to say that, but hopefully you knew that I appreciated it all along!
