Step One: Cleaning Green

Learn to use white vinegar as a major cleaning agent in your home. It is amazing how many different things you can do with it. Here are just a few tips to get you started. For more on vinegar look at vinegartips.com/cleaning

  • Use equal parts of vinegar and water to make a cleaning spray. Perfect for cleaning counter tops, refrigerators, mirrors.
  • Make a cleaning paste with 1 teaspoon vinegar per 2 tablespoons of salt. Perfect for removing lime build-up or shining chrome fixtures.
  • If you’re really ready,  here is how to make a glass and mirror solution. In a gallon of water, add 1 cup of ammonia, 1 cup of vinegar, and 2 tablespoons of corn-starch. Mix together and you have a great cleaning spray solution.

*Another “Green” benefit of cleaning this way is that you don’t have as many cleaning bottles that you go through every month or so.
