Winter in Branson

The most wonderful time of year starts early in Branson, MO. Every year November 1st kicks off the Christmas shows and lights. Then, when January rolls around things really slow down. If you don’ mind the cold weather, and just want to see the local area, its a great time to be here. You should know that only a few shows still play during the off-season and many and the shops are on seasonal hours. Also, the lodging options are a little limited because some of the facilities take this opportunity to remodel and fix up a bit so they shut down.

The winter weather here is pretty mild, typically ranging from the mid 20’s to the mid 40’s. We do get an occasional snow but it usually don’t last more than a few days.

One thing you can do during off-season that you can’t always do during the regular season is drive down the strip (highway 76) with ease. Also, the museums and walk-up attractions are much less crowded during the off-season.
